I saw Naocho first at Kickboxing event in February 2002. We had the same friend who was the main event on that card. Naocho was with her girlfriends. One of them was sick and could barely talk, and another was the kickboxer's girlfriend, and was worried about him. I mostly talked to Naoko, and she was very sweet. I figured she was a fight fan, so I've invited her to watch UFC with some of my friends next week. She obviously liked me from the start, but she didn't make it easy for me. She gave me a wrong phone number, so for the next week, I was bothering some lonely sailor with calls for a date. I was lucky to also have her email, so eventually I was able to contact her.
1.5 years later we got married.
We've enjoyed each other company from the start. Even though I didn't always made it easy for my sweet girl, I hope she is happy with me.

It was on the way back to my place. Ilya asked me about my future plan. I told him that I would go back to Japan after I finish my study. I had only 6 months left till go back to Japan at that point. He seemed to be surprised because I did not tell him about my plan at all until that day. I was telling myself that I had to say good-bye to Ilya when I finished my study.
"Would you marry me?" I heard something from Ilya which I did not expect to hear from him. I was driving and almost lost my control... I still remember his face was very serious and he looked so handsome. I did not hesitate to say "YES" to Ilya Goldman.

We've been dating for almost 1.5 years, and it was clear to me, Naoko would be a prefect wife. I wasn't so sure if I want to be a perfect husband. We were spending a lot of time together, and I certainly didn't want her to leave. I knew that eventually her study will be over, and she will have to go back to Japan. I've asked her about that, so I can consider If I should marry her in order to keep her here. She got very emotional, and it was clear she didn't want to leave either. I was considered marrying my sweetie for a while, so even though I didn't plan to propose when I did, it was probably for the better. After living with my sweetie for more than a year, I can confirm that she is a perfect wife. I am not a prefect husband, but I'll do what I can to have Naocho happy.
